April 3, 2010 - Cherry (Sakura) Blossom Festival @ Washington D.C.

Me, Kaori Saki, Teng Seng. Kaori is Teng Seng's co-worker from Japan. I could only tell she's a Japanese by her name because her face and accent don't look/sound the stereotypical "Japanese" at all.

Persephone (middle/my ex co-worker) and Courtney. It was hard to find the right time and place to meet up with Persephone because it was too big and crowded. We were so surprised when we saw each other on the sidewalk! Haaa... By the way, I was guilty of letting Teng Seng shake the branch to come out with the petal falling effect. :(

Cheers 940! You're in the camera (via the phone)! ;)

Kaori said the cherry flowers are at their fullest bloom (also heading to an end) when the green sprouts/leaves show up on the trees. The weather was sunny, warm and breezy - just nice for an outing like this.

I wonder what kind of ducks are those...

Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Jefferson - the author of the Declaration of American Independence and the third president of U.S.

A little lamb found on the edge of sidewalk.

小绵羊说:悠悠大千世界里无法出于淤泥而不染,唯有尽量维持一颗纯洁的脑袋。闭上眼睛,任尔吹东西南北风,波涛汹涌,吾仍处之于泰然。

Picking the flowers is prohibited. The paintings were let dry on the ground while collecting the fallen petals on them.

Go Beaver! Bemidji State University's mascot.

By the way, this is not a sakura tree.

On the staircase of Jefferson Memorial. This is only very very tiny part of the entire crowd.

Washington D.C.'s Chinatown. Does this remind you of our Petaling Street? I miss the pan mee stall in the alley opposite the old Popular Bookshop.

Subway fast food chain.

Starbucks. [Reminder, this is in America, not in China.] :)
